Very good points, BC is an important feature (for me personally). If BC was added it would probably be 'the straw that broke the camels back' and force my hand in finally getting a PS3, that or a significant price drop. :)

I agree with you on that one. With some of the comments I find on N4G, I assume everyone wants the 'competition' to disappear. Have you ever witnessed a monopoly (in any market) and seen the type of atmosphere it creates? Stagnation, high price and little intensives for growth would be the result of 1 console market...

Yeah, I remember reading the MGS4 review on an Xbox site, I thought what the hell, we need more of this acceptance between platform specific websites.

To all the idiotic 1 sided, 'gamers' on N4G, read the damn article and understand that this fierce competition is bringing out the best in all companies involved.
It sounds like a lot of fun, just hasn't been executed as well as I had hoped.
I agree, I haven't even played 3-4 games that have come out over the past couple of months (even PoP). I think Publishers are starting to see the light though, there are some massive games coming up early next year (Killzone 2, Resident Evil etc). If they sell well, I can see publishers picking up on this and spreading their games across the year.

I realise our market is tiny, the thing is, I don't care about getting servers here, I know that won't happen. All I ask is that the SDK's all incorporate a 'local search' option (like COD WaW), I don't see how that is hard.

This thread has just displayed the immature and irrational nature of Fanboys, why is FFXIII suddenly less desirable now that it is on 360. You begrudge 360 players from experiencing the amazing FF series? Why? Don't say it is because it will hold the PS3 version back or 'dumb' it down, cause there is something called the localisation process that ensures we don't get the game the same time as our Japanese counterparts. Nope, no reviews yet. Probably due to the fact it is released in Australia first. It does take place in my favourite setting Ancient/Mythical Greece :)
agreed, Xbox Live users outside the US are seen as second rate users, matchmaking is a flawed system without the option to look for 'Local matches'.
The game certainly looks good graphically, I would like to here peoples experiences with the gameplay though, it just doesn't seem like a Mortal Kombat game to me.
